Fayetteville native Tim Shropshire is the bearded, country, family man everyone has grown to love. Raised in the “old school” church culture, Shropshire is one of the most hilarious “church kids” who matured into an internet sensation. He has appeared in venues nationwide, including The Comedy Zone in Greensboro.
He discovered he had an affective sense of humor as a junior in High School when he made the older guys laugh. This survival tactic stayed with him as he went to play Collegiate Football at North Carolina A&T State University.
After countless days of thinking about writing jokes and skits from the comfort of his work desk, he made the decision to take a leap of faith and do comedy full-time. Shropshire has toured nationally with Gospel Legend Pastor John P. Kee. Shropshire has broken the internet with his home videos that have been viewed more than 50 million times on social media and led to collaborations with notable brands
UNCP students, alumni and the community will have a chance to enjoy Shropshire on Friday, Oct. 25, at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets range from $12 to $20 (plus tax & fees). Tickets for children are $5.
