Ecstasy Cake

Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook: 1 hour
Cook Temp: 350 degrees

  • 1 box of devils cake
  • 1 8oz container of Cool Whip
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1/2 cup of olive oil or preferred oil
  • 1 can of sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 jar of caramel (8 0z)
  • 1 bag of heath topping candy pieces

The cake is also known as “Better Than Sex Cake.” It is a rich and moist cake that has a lot of flavor in it.

The cake includes Cool Whip and Heath candy pieces as the topping for it. A cake that can be used to impress guests while having something sweet to eat after eating a savory meal.

Meal Prep
A tin foil pan is perfect for this, Cool Whip, package of devil’s food cake mix, sweetened condensed milk, caramel ice cream topping, Cool Whip and toffee candy topping. For the toffee topping, Heath is preferred. If there is going to be more than six people being served, doubling the recipe would be best.

Cake Prep
Following the instructions for the package of devil’s food cake mix, make the cake from it. After following the directions on the box, prep the caramel topping for the cake.

Prepping the caramel topping is done by mixing a can of sweet condensed milk with a jar of caramel in a small bowl. When the cake is done baking, check it by touching the top of the cake lightly. If it moves, the cake still needs to continue baking. Running a toothpick in the cake also helps determine if the cake is finishing.

The cake needs to be cooled before putting any topping on it. If the cake is not cooled enough, the topping will come off of it and it will not stick.

Poke holes into the cake that is done baking with the end of a spoon or a bamboo. Then pour the caramel on top slowly. Make sure to move the Carmela around and spread it evenly, so it can go into the holes.

Spread the Cool Whip on top of the cake using the whole tub. It needs to be spread evenly and then the toffee candy topping can go on top. Chill and then serve.
