Sleep Awareness Week

The goal of Sleep Awareness Week at UNCP was to emphasize the need for good sleep for general well-being. This is even more relevant for students who observe irregular sleep patterns due to academic and social stress.

UNCP marked this important consideration the week of March 3. With data indicating a big proportion of college students suffer from poor sleep, Conseling and Psychological Services strived to address these issues by offering a variety of health activities throughout the year.

It was a welcome reminder of the value of rest and how it can assist students in staying focused, resilient, and emotionally stable during stressful periods. The university is offering students tools to help improve sleep hygiene and by offering consistent support through CAPS, which can serve students far beyond the classroom in the long run.
