For the 14th time, the UNCP A.D. Gallery presents the Annual International Juried Exhibition, this time called ‘Pendulum’ and will be on display February 12 through March 8.

The artwork displayed in the gallery has been selected by the juror Emily S. Beck to compete for a prize of $400. The theme for this year’s exhibition is the idea that our human experiences swings on a pendulum, that our life is not a straight line. It ebbs and it flows, we have highs, and we have lows, and these moments are often when we feel the most alive. The exhibition features artwork that visualizes a swing on the pendulum, the obstacles and challenges in life.

The exhibition includes work from 34 diverse artists and a variety of media, including drawing, sculpture, mixed media, painting, ceramics, printmaking, installation and photography.

This year’s juror is Emily S. Beck, an interdisciplinary artist and professor in the Department of Art, Art History and Design at the University of Notre Dame. Art for her is a powerful tool for visual communication and social change.
