The UNC Pembroke women’s golf team finished in 17th place yesterday after a two-day event at The Links at Stoney Point. They competed in the AU-Erskine Fall Kick-Off with 16 other schools. The team finished (+150) with the following scores 344-339-331-1014.
#8 Anderson finished first (+8) with a score of 289-292-291-872. #12 Lee and #16 Wingate placed 2nd and 3rd respectively in the team standings.
On the individual side for the Braves Chessa Lee finish with a team best 77 in the final round to tie for 64th place (+28), Toni Blackwell (+36) finished for a tie for 75th, Emmerson Bartley finished 83rd (+44), Michelle Guerra Landa placed 85th (+52) and Lauren Locklear rounded out the leaderboard placing 87th (+68).
Anderson’s Kennedy McGaha placed first finishing seven-under-par 209.
Lee finished 85-82-77-244, Blackwell scored 88-82-82-252, Bartley scored 88-87-85-260, Landa had a score of 83-98-87-268 and Locklear with 101-88-95-284.
The Black and Gold will be back in action October 2 in the Patsy Rendleman Invitational. This two-day event will be played at the Country Club of Salisbury, N.C.
