To bring awareness to the many academic resources they offer, the Center for Student Success (CSS) has decided to hold events during Advising Week. All the events will be held in the lobby of D.F. Lowry from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m, April 5 to April 9.
“These events are designed to create a sense of community and to develop a collaborative partnership among the student and their advisor,” says Assistant Director of Academic Engagement Jennifer McNeill.
These promotional opportunities are open to all undergraduate students enrolled at UNCP. “Mondays are For Muffins” attracted students this morning with a breakfast snack. CSS will also have a table set up in the Chavis University Center every day this week from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. so students can ask questions and schedule an advising appointment.
The plan is to engage students and interact with them while maintaining social distance. Registration for currently enrolled students who are planning summer and fall classes begins on Monday, April 12.
