The Part-Time Job & Volunteer Career Fair at UNC Pembroke provides students with an opportunity to expand their horizons and make a meaningful difference while attending the university. This event allows students to learn about various organizations and explore new opportunities available to them.

Students can connect with a diverse range of organizations that offer services benefiting the community, giving them the chance to make a positive impact. These organizations provide part-time jobs and internships that enhance students’ resumes.

Among the organizations represented are the Robeson County Teen Court, which aims to educate youth about the judicial system; Amedisys Hospice of Pembroke, where volunteers provide companionship and care to individuals facing serious illnesses; and the Robeson County Housing Authority, which offers opportunities to work with youth in community cleanup efforts.

“It is a non-profit, which is great,” Volunteer Service Coordinator for Robeson Teen Court Shaunceley Lowery said. “There are internship opportunities available, and they look good on resumes.”

The fair helps students discover their niche and explore various career paths. It enables them to find work that aligns with their passions and inspires them to make a positive impact on their life journey.
