The UNC Pembroke Braves baseball team will be going dancing for a fourth straight season after earning the fourth overall seed in the NCAA Southeast Baseball region Sunday night when the selection show kicked off. Along with the Braves in the southeast will be the #1 seeded Catawba Indians, #2 seeded North Greenville Crusaders, #3 seeded Mount Olive Trojans, #5 seeded Young Harris Mountain Lions, #6 seeded Wingate Bulldogs, and #7 seeded Georgia College Bobcats.
The Braves and Young Harris will face off Thursday at host site Catawba with a first pitch yet to be determined. As for the rest of the field they will compete at the second host site in North Greenville where the Crusaders will face off with Georgia College and Mount Olive and Wingate will class with each other.
UNC Pembroke and North Greenville are the only two baseball programs to each make the NCAA Southeast Regional Championship for four straight seasons.
The winners of both brackets will then face off against each other in a best of three NCAA Super Regional May 24-25 with a chance to advance to the NCAA Division II World Series at the USA Baseball Training Complex June 1st through the 8th in Cary, N.C.
