The #25 ranked UNC Pembroke men’s basketball team used an offensive scoring inside the paint and fended off the Mount Olive Trojans on the road Wednesday night in Conference Carolina’s action. The Braves took down the Trojans 91-74. With the win the Braves improved to 20-5 on the season and 14-2 in conference play.
The win also helped the Braves win the Conference’s East Division Title with just two regular season games left against Converse and Chowan.
Elijah Cobb led the way for the Braves finishing with 18 points, eight rebounds, six assists, three steals and rebounds. Josh Bernbaum followed with 16 points and four rebounds. Bradlee Haskell finished the night with 13 points and JaJaun Carr had 12 points.

For the UNC Pembroke women’s basketball team started off hot and fired on all cylinders en route to a dominating 77-34 win over the Trojans Wednesday night. With the win the Braves improved to 20-6 on the season and 14-2 in conference play
Kelci Adams led the Braves with a career-high performance of 23 points and seven rebounds. She made seven three-pointers which matches a school record that was set during the 2001-02 season by Ginnell Curtis. Kalaya Hall followed with 14 points and five assists. Zaria Clark finished with 11 points and Courtney Smith with 10 points.
The Braves will travel to Converse on Saturday for a 2 p.m. tip for the women and a 4 p.m. tip for the Men.
