Wrestling Picks Up Convincing Victory Over Limestone

The UNC Pembroke wrestling team picked up a key Conference Carolina’s victory over the Limestone Saints Tuesday night on the road. With seven matches won, with three being first period pins, the Braves claimed a 36-12 win over the Saints. The Braves improved to a record of 11-5 and 6-1 overall in conference matches this season.  

The Braves got on the scoreboard first in the 125 bouts when Logan Seliga picked up an 8-4 decision win over Trey Finnearty making it 3-0 UNCP. Logan Robinson quickly made it 9-0 Braves with a first period pin over his opponent. #5 and #6 ranked wrestlers Jake Piccirilli and Keegan Roberson picked up decisive victories to put the Braves ahead 18-5. #1 ranked wrestler Scot Joll helped finished things off with a first period pin and Massimo Sullivan sealed things with a victory in his match.  

The Braves will continue their season on the road when they face Mount Olive this Sunday in a crucial match for Conference Carolinas. The match is set to begin at 5 p.m.
