The 2023-24 Wrestling season is just around the corner as the new schedule was just released today by head wrestling coach Otello “OT” Johnson. There have been four home dates scheduled and road trips that include Pennsylvania, Florida, Indiana and many other states. These are some big matches that will take place this season.

Before the season officially kicks off in November, there will be a pre-season Black and Gold intra-squad event at Lumbee Guaranty Bank Court on October 25th at 7 p.m. Admission is free for this event. The Braves officially open their new season on November 5th when they host the 42nd Annual Pembroke Classic. The teams competing in the Classic will be announced at a later date. Admission to this event is $10 for the day and students can get in for free with a valid student ID.

Pep Rally/School night will highlight the home dual meet on the 16th of November when the Braves will welcome Lander at 7 p.m. For the majority month of December, the Braves will compete on the road starting in Greenwood, S.C. for the Lander Dual. They will face Notre Dame (OH), Frostburg State, Glenville State, and Kentucky Wesleyan.

From December 16- 17, they will travel to Indianapolis, Ind., for the 44th Annual Midwest Classic and then make their way down to Florida for the two-day Citrus Invitational that takes place December 29-30.

The Braves return back home in the month of January for a Tri-meet on January 13 when they host Coker, Allen, and Davis & Elkins for Alumni Weekend and Military Appreciation Night. They will close the campaign on February 8 when they host Belmont Abbey for Senior Night/Heart Night before competing for a Conference Carolina Championship on February 17 and 18.
