A local car crash off-campus resulted in minor property damage and no injuries. A student who made a right turn onto West 3rd Street failed to yield and was hit on the front left door of his car.

The incident occurred in the intersection between parking lot number four on campus and the McDonald’s parking lot.

“There were no injuries and we will tow some vehicles. There was some minor vehicle damage,” Officer Bullard said.

According to police, the student in the gray Kia failed to yield to the oncoming red Chevrolet truck in traffic. The Kia had a red light coming from the commuter parking lot but failed to yield oncoming traffic. In the report, the Chevrolet pushed the Kia onto the curb, which caused the vehicle to come to a stop.

The red Chevrolet truck received the most damage in the front left bumper. A student driving the gray Kia received less noticeable damage. Both vehicles were towed away at the scene.
