This semester the university announced that they were going to give a housing grant to students who send in an application for the $1,500 grant.
To apply for the housing grant, go to your Braveweb account and access the link that says “Online Forms Home” and the form is called “$1500 Housing Grant Application”.
International or non US citizen students are not eligible to receive the grant at this time.
There is no deadline for this grant but it is best to apply as soon as you can. When funding for this grant is gone, the application will be taken down. The university as of now hopes to bring the grant back for the Spring 2022 semester. Students who have applied for the grant are very appreciative of the funding and were satisfied with the amount.
If you have already paid for your housing and owe no other money to the school, you will be given a refund.
Daijah Arnold, a junior at UNCP is very appreciative of the money the school was able to give her.
“Financially it gave me more money and it helped me and my family out a lot when it came to paying for school,” said Arnold.
Sky Polanco, a junior at UNCP applied for the grant right before school started but has yet to see the grant applied to her online account center.
“Unfortunately I did not get the grant money from the school. I’m upset that I didn’t get the grant. I would love to know how they distribute the money,” said Polanco.
The housing grant will not affect a student’s financial awards. Students can only recieve the grant if they apply through their braveweb account. Students will not have to repay the housing grant.
