UNCP held its 20th annual Halloween costume contest on Oct. 31st.

Both students and faculty members got into the Halloween spirit and dressed as their favorite characters, celebrities or cultural figures, then gathered in the bookstore to stand before judges to have their costumes rated.

After rating nearly 20 outfits, the judges picked their top three favorites.

In first place was Lamar Courman, who works in athletics, dressed as Michael Jackson.

Second place was Kentrell Baines, who dressed as Chris Brown.

Third place was Christian Happel, who dressed as the character Negan from the Walking Dead.

The winners received a special prize from the bookstore.

Many students dressed up for the holiday, but did not participate in the contest.
