‘Foot Grabber’ Is Back On Carolina Campuses

UNCP Police arrested 49-year-old Christopher J. Deas on campus after a faculty members found him in a classroom. UNCP notified students by email that a man who is known for touching women’s feet was on the UNCP campus.

Deas, who is known for going on North Carolina and South Carolina college campuses and rubbing, pinching and grabbing women’s feet, was charged with trespassing and is being held on a secured bond.

Last September, Deas was arrested for grabbing the feet of a female college student and trespassing at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem. In October, he was banned from Coker University in Hartsville, S.C.after being arrested and caught on campus. Deas is “under a criminal trespass notice that legally prohibits him from returning to UNCP property,” according to the email from Jennifer McCarrel, UNCP’s chief communications and marketing officer.

Deas has been found to go back to college campuses even though he is banned from going back to

campuses. UNCP Police notified the UNC System Office that Deas was on campus. UNCP Police recommend, “If you see Deas on campus, do not approach him. Call UNCP Police & Public Safety right away at 910.521. 6235. Always report suspicious activity — if you see something, say something.”
