Some University Village Apartments residents were surprised to find that they were being moved out of their apartments during the last few weeks of the semester for construction on the first floor.

Residents of the first floor of the 400 building were told March 30 that they were to move to Courtyard Apartments by the end of the weekend.

“I don’t mind moving out because it is like an upgrade for me so it isn’t too bad. I get free laundry at the new building,” first floor student Anthony Vazquez said. He was please because he will be living in a single bedroom now.

Vazquez said they were told they were being moved because of construction that is going to happen to
their building.
